Job Responsibilities:
Maintaining annual public relations strategy based on brand's presence in media, social media and online media
Coordinating public relations activities with the support of the marketing team throughout the internship
Creating and maintaining social media strategy via Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and blog
Copy writing and submitting press releases to relevant media sources
Copy writing and editing the Kahiki e-mail newsletter
Participating in relevant events and sessions as they occur throughout the internship
Writing and presenting status reports to marketing team
Other communications/marketing-related functions as they become relevant
Desired Skills:
Passionate and enthusiastic about brand development and social media
Excellent written and oral communication
Self-starter
Possess good judgment
Ability to prioritize and stay organized
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years into a Bachelor's program in Marketing, Communications or Journalism
Strong computer skills including extensive knowledge of Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, MS Office
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
